Engineer

QUALITY CONSULTING GROUP, a leader in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, and manufacturing industry, is looking for a talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Provides characterization of process optimization strategies and/or troubleshooting of operational issues in the operations, manufacturing, pilot plant or capital projects environment. 
• Applies basic engineering principles to the design and implementation of system modifications, experiments and/or capital projects. 
• Organizes, analyzes and presents interpretation of results for operational issues or engineering projects of minor scope and complexity. 
• Work with research, manufacturing, maintenance, process development, utilities, facilities, quality assurance and/or validation departments in developing requirements and recommendations for system modifications. 
• Function as a technical expert for equipment or systems in connection with troubleshooting operations. Frequently actively participates in daily operations when it is necessary to meet schedules or resolve complex problems.
• Routinely audit the operational performance and regulatory compliance of a moderate number of equipment or systems of significant complexity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
• Two (2) years of previous experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Computer proficiency (Excel, Minitab, Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Experience with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) indicator a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma concepts, methodologies, and tools.
• Previous experience in effectively using the OEE indicator for continuous improvements.
• Self-starter – highly motivated individual that can work under minimal supervision Communication (both written and verbal), facilitation, and presentation skills in Spanish and English.
• Project management skills with a proven record of creating and leading cross-functional teams from project development to the closure stage.
• Experience working with long and short-term strategic capacity planning, labor models, and new product introduction capacity assessments.
