Position Overview:

The Engineer-Automation Engineering will be in charge of the implementation, support, and maintenance of automation systems in the plant for the commercialization team.

Responsibilities​:

· Manage instrumentation assets through the life-cycle.

· Troubleshoot instrument communication problems.

· Understand how the instrument communicates with the control system.

· In collaboration with PE, ensure that the correct instrumentation is selected in order to have the optimal control (size, technology).

· Participate in instrument related non-conformances investigations.

· Support the technical agenda of the Process Team.

· Provide oversight and/or lead implementations/upgrades (equipment, software, & hardware).

· Understand (or own) the CSV strategy and deliverables; may perform the role of subject matter expert for automation systems.

· Understand the C&Q Strategy and support the execution.

· Own the strategy of automation systems PMs.

· Understanding of Network Infrastructure/Telecom.

· Understanding of interfaces and data flow.

· Understand (or participate in the development) of the Data Integrity Strategy.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or related science field
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in process automation, engineering or related field
  • EIT/PE preferred

Additional Preferences:

  • Knowledge of Process Automation Systems and Dry Product Technologies.
  • Core knowledge related to ISA S95 and IDS/Automation integration
  • Experience in pharma or GMP industry
  • Experience working with validated systems
