How will you make an impact in this role?

We at American Express are constantly looking for value in making processes more efficient and delighting our customers. Back end AI / ML based services are a big part of that now and in the future. We are looking for an experienced and detailed software developer to join our team and collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and other software developers to produce, enhance, and support these AI services.

What the job entails

• Performing R&D activities for support of predominantly document processing automation
• Refining the result of R&D output into production worthy AI services
• Collaborating with product partners to define, clarify, and enhance requirements
• Collaborating with technical partners for system integration and infrastructure
• Active participation in design and code reviews

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related degree program
• Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms
• Python development experience
• Linux system fundamentals and / or administration
• Container build and execution experience (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Experience with automated testing and related frameworks
• Fundamental knowledge of supervised / unsupervised machine learning

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ETL / data processing pipelines and big data
• Distributed systems fundamentals and experience
• Experience with ML model training and inference
• Experience with use of accelerated computing hardware
• Knowledge of major public cloud vendor products and services

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
