Your Responsibilities
As a Backhoe Cooling Systems Engineer located in Dubuque, IA, you will be responsible for cooling system design, vehicle integration, and production implementation. In addition, you will...

• Develop Backhoe cooling system requirements and develop cooling package designs with suppliers.
• Diagnose cooling systems issues during new product development and support test activities.
• Support physical builds and production launches, testing, customer field evaluations, and field response teams to rapidly address early field issues and emerging quality problems.
• Lead technology development projects for Backhoe products that support future portfolio needs.
• Contribute to product design guidelines, design books, engineering requirements documents, and engineering analysis procedures for Backhoes

What Skills You Need

• 2 or more years of experience in product engineering roles involving product design, test, verification, or analysis
• Experience with 3D modeling tools, such as Creo and Solidworks.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to analyze technical data, consider multiple alternatives, and provide data-driven decisions/recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience managing several projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience and technical depth in the area of cooling systems design, testing, or analysis
• Cross-functional experience related to verification, performance evaluation, software, and/or manufacturing teams.
• Working knowledge of John Deere product development processes through program completions.
• Experience with analytics software such as KULI, MATLAB, or nCode.
• Experience working with external suppliers.
• Experience as a Team Lead, Integration Lead, Design Review Lead or Subject Matter Expert.

Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
