Global Merchant Services Technology group is looking to hire an engineer with experience in BigData and Analytics. Our Merchant Insights Reporting + Analytics (MIRA) platform encompasses the global data warehouse and self-service reporting for GMS and it's partner organizations. It enables users to evaluate merchant data - both characteristics and financial metrics - for proprietary and network merchants in all markets around the Globe.

We're seeking an Engineer who possesses both technology and analytical skills and can work on an agile team of strong engineers.

Our engineers "know" Big Data while staying ahead of technology. They're able to quickly assess a problem and provide good solutions. We also display good judgement and intuition honed by learning from past experience. This position suits someone who possesses technology experience, good architecture knowledge, can take the initiative to research and resolve right solutions for requirements and quickly implement.
Responsibilities:

As an Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and building fast performance, scalable Big Data solutions that meet the needs of our customers - Engineers, Analysts and Data Scientists.

You'll design, develop, and test scalable data platform components.

You will work with a variety of teams and individuals, including product engineers to understand their data pipeline needs and come up with innovative solutions.

You can architect, code and deploy software that makes a significant difference in our customers' digital lives.   • 3+ years of application design, development in Spark Scala and automated testing
  • Experience with Agile design and coding across Big Data platforms using Spark Scala, Hive, SQL and Linux/Unix
  • Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related experience required
  • Recognizes opportunities to adopt innovative technologies to enable business capabilities
  • Keeps up to date on current research and technology in the industry
  • Perform code reviews
  • Drive creative changes & continuous improvements
  • Defines test conditions based on the requirements and specifications provided

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
