Comcast's Technology, Product & Experience organization works at the intersection of media and technology. Our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products that transform the customer experience. Our roles primarily reside inside or around one of our Tech Hubs (Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs, Denver, Austin, Silicon Valley, Washington DC/N. Virginia). Some roles can work virtual full-time if they are not near a Tech Hub, but that is dependent upon the needs of the position and amount of collaboration required.

Job Description

In this role, you will:
  • Develop in-house applications to automate common tasks.
  • Work with languages like Ruby, Python, Java, Javascript, B
  • Collaborates with project partners to identify product and technical requirements.
  • Conducts analysis to resolve integration needs.
  • Supports applications under development and customizes current applications.
  • Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and mentorship with regards to practices, procedures and techniques.
  • Serves as a guide and mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, process design, and, redesign skills.
  • Presents and defends architectural, design, and, technical choices to internal audiences.
  • Regular, consistent, and, punctual attendance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree and 5+ years experience
  • Experience with the following technology: Ruby, Python, Java, Javascript, Relational Databases, Jenkins, AWS, No-SQL DBs

  • Ability to be "Hands on" - regardless of title, everybody in our team handles programs from top to bottom - meaning from senior executive level stakeholder management down to detailed planning and information management.
  • An engineering degree is not required, but you must have strong technical capability, passion for technology and innovation, and ability to connect with technical teams.
  • Be proficientand in industry trends including driven and market dynamics, and product and technology trends, especially in the Cloud space.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting, investigating, and fixing production issues in large scale Cloud and/or hosted environments.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required.
