What You Will Do:
- Provide technical ownership of production vessels, either organic blending or aqueous blending and low temperature reactors.
- Provide technical information for new product setup and introduction.
- Collect data on vessel efficiency and make improvements.
- Write and maintain DCS recipes and operating procedures.
- Take the lead role working closely with the quality assurance team in trouble shooting issues/problems within the production environment and work towards 0% First Pass Fail production.
- Deliver minor plant modifications.
- Ensuring safety studies (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, COMAH, HAC) are completed as per calendar.
- Oversee product commercialization on plant equipment, monitoring and recording relevant information for presentation or documentation.
- Identify savings both financial and productive within the plant operations.
- Work closely with the Technical Team and Training Manager to provide training packages for the shift production teams for all new equipment, processes and chemistries introduced to the manufacturing plant.
- Develop, support and lead on various projects, including CapEx, to drive improvements in safety, savings and service.
- Works with corporate SH&E to ensure site permits are in compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Performs regular safety inspections on critical equipment at the plant.
- Ensure standard operating procedures are kept up to date and in compliance with corporate process safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Relevant work experience
- Familiarity with chemical manufacturing equipment
- Demonstrable problem-solving aptitude and planning skills, with a good attention to detail
- Ability to think outside the box
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a relevant industry
- Experience of working in a dynamic environment and ability to demonstrate multi-tasking skills, with workload prioritization
