Engineer I, Software Analysis Engineering for Multiple Openings

Position Summary

Perform complex system verification, and customer support of Samsung 4G and 5G RAN Equipment including virtual EMS, vRAN. Perform feature validation, interoperability testing, field evaluation to get product acceptance from customer.

Role and Responsibilities

Perform complex system verification, and customer support of Samsung 4G and 5G RAN Equipment including virtual EMS, vRAN. Perform feature validation, interoperability testing, field evaluation to get product acceptance from customer. Perform system level feature integration and test. Develop and perform test plans as well as troubleshoot and analyze problems in customer's lab and production systems. Manage and enhance automation tools, and customer lab support. Aid in product and feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product and SW releases. Ensure that customer commitments are achieved according to project plan. Work with team members to prepare test plans/cases and execute to validate RAN CP/OAM functionality. Interface proactively with Product/Technology Engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Educate our customers on Samsung's new products and services both individually and in a team environment. Ensures that customer commitments are achieved according to plan. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross-functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product rollouts and developments.

Skills and Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related role. In Lieu of a Master's degree and 2 years of experience, Employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related role. Applicants must have 2 years of experience (5 in possession of a relevant Bachelor's degree) in the following: (1) telecommunication experience in system test and technical customer support; (2) virtualization technologies, including virtual machines; (3) working in a Linux environment, including command-line; (4) networking concepts including TCP/IP, sockets, IPv4/6, routing and interface snooping; (5) test tools including Wireshark. 20% domestic travel required.
