Job Description:
Microchip's USB and Networking Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented NCG (New College Graduate) Test Engineer to join our dynamic team covering a wide-range of digital and mixed-signal devices. As a NCG Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
- Work in a team environment interacting with product engineers, designers, architecture, applications and marketing to achieve common goal of success product launch.
- Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements. - Execute test plans and procedures to identify defects and ensure product quality.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to validate product functionality.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, and work closely with development teams to resolve them.
- Document test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to testing.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Perl, or C++.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. Benefits of working at Microchip
The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in New York, is $64,480 to $128,000.*
*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
