Job Description:

Microchip's USB and Networking Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented NCG (New College Graduate) Test Engineer to join our dynamic team covering a wide-range of digital and mixed-signal devices. As a NCG Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
• Work in a team environment interacting with product engineers, designers, architecture, applications and marketing to achieve common goal of success product launch.
• Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements. - Execute test plans and procedures to identify defects and ensure product quality.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to validate product functionality.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, and work closely with development teams to resolve them.
• Document test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to testing.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Perl, or C++.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in New York, is $64,480 to $128,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
