Engineer II

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Engineer II will provide In-Service Engineering support. This is a contingent position expected to be located in Newport, RI.

What You'll Do

• Experience responding to fleet problem trouble reports, including resulting update of existing logistics products.
• Experience with Naval Supply System including receiving and filling fleet part requisitions.
• Experience with ERP for parts management.
• Experience performing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) tasking.
• Knowledge of ILS Certifications and corresponding ILS products.
• Experience with working onboard submarines.
• Knowledge of weapon launchers onboard different classes of submarines.
• Experience responding to software and hardware issues onboard submarines.
• Bid and proposal support if requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
• Five (5) years of experience in In-Service Engineering.
• Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Must possess strong time management skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
• Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
