Focus:

Contributes to design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, evaluating, modifying, deploying, and documenting software and systems that meet the needs of customer-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end user applications.

Organizational Context:

Entry-level hire, member of a product engineering or delivery and integration team reporting to a Senior Engineer, Engineering Director or Director Product Delivery & Integration.

How will you make an impact in this role?

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent OR Master's in Computer Applications or equivalent
• 4 to 6 years of experience is required.
• Expert on Core Java, Data Structures and Algorithms
• Expert on one of the frameworks like SpringMVC, Springboot vert.x
• Hands on Experience in designing and building microservice focused solutions
• Experience on NoSQL DB (HBASE, Mongo, couchdb)ELK, Redis, Kafka).
• Experience on caching and queuing stacks (Redis, Kafka).
• Experience on ELK stacks
• Knowledge of Hadoop Architecture (Hadoop/Map Reduce)
• Experience in UNIX shell scripting is good to have
• Provides advanced knowledge of technical and functional principles.
• Effectively leverages General knowledge of the relationships that exist between all relevant functional groups within American Express.
• Should have experience in analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of system application
• Function as member of an agile team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)
• Demonstrate increased self-reliance to achieve team goals
• Participate in code reviews and automated testing
• Debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation
• Enable the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments
• Automate deployments in test or production environments
• Automatically scale applications based on demand projections
