Duties: Design and develop software systems, and complete & complex frameworks that are in-compliance with company's security standards. Perform design and code fixes necessary to address defects observed in QA environment. Work on cobra rule set with the new features in the rules and Boomi environment to deploy cobra related rules. Work on drools to improve the ability to turn around new rulesets, address defects, and all enhancements to the existing rulesets. Work on data exchange where imax files are being sent over to the 5x application where cobra and dx rule sets are being developed. Work on unit tests for a good test-driven development. Working on spring framework (Spring boot, spring data, spring security) on day to day basis using Java 8, Java 11. Work on site-builder service to create and work with tenants and support on the new incoming enhancements and any support required by the other teams when necessary. Verify the expected system behavior after deployments to Dev (EESHDEV), Functional test (ENRLTST). Maintain code quality and coverage using SonarQube. Support the new development for a large integrated application, and support enhancements for current web applications with latest Java technologies including J2EE, Spring Boot with Microservices and Hibernate. Develop and integrate with other micro service applications when needed. Evaluate performance of critical application components and optimizes them to assure maximum performance. Work with development tasks using various technologies and provide the required APIs to give JSON data using RESTful web services. Work on Keycloak as IAM system for tenant creation. Write karate and unit testing for the services to be more precise and efficient. Use GIT/BitBucket as the version control system to maintain/update the project repositories. Deploy Spring Boot based microservices Docker container to Amazon EC2. Work on build tools like Maven and Gradle and update and consolidate dependencies. Work with AWS secrets manager to store all the service passwords and database passwords for more security. Release IANOW services on monthly basis and take care of the entire testing of the services ianow-site-builder and user-admin-service after the release.100% telecommuting position. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, and five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer or related position.

Experience must include: Utilizing Java 8+, Spring, AWS, Apache Kafka, Docker, Relational and non-relational databases, Unit, integration, and performance testing, JavaScript; and UI frameworks including React and/or Angular.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
