Job Description

Summary: The Engineer reports to the Sr. Manager of Pipeline Integrity Services. This position involves a diverse involvement in various aspects of the company's business related to pipeline integrity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Proactively initiates, develops and maintains effective working relationships with all members involved in a variety of projects.• Supports Company's Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) programs and projects.

• Supports Company's Traceable, Verifiable and Complete (TVC) records review program.

• Conducts pipeline applicability determinations, reviews class changes for MAOP code, performs GIS data grading and as-built reviews and prepares results for integrity team and other teams, as needed.

• Work with and support Integrity and other project teams to provide guidance and requirements for pipeline transportation projects in accordance with pipeline integrity and regulatory compliance criteria.• Oversees other integrity and compliance professionals (contract or employees) to execute company related integrity and compliance obligations in areas such as VTC, MAOP Reconfirmation, MAOP determination, up-ratings, de-ratings, MOCs, etc.• Supports the Company's Risk Team. This will require collaboration and innovation for Company processed pipeline asset and performance data.

• Provides regulatory compliance assistance and troubleshooting to Integrity and other project teams on a project by project basis.• Provides technical support for Risk Engineers, Integrity Data Analysts, Records Administrators and GIS Technicians with company processes and data quality• Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies• Using factual information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations and safety standards.• Analyze and improve existing processes to maximize productivity and reduce costs.• Maintain an effective working relationship with outside contractors and vendors.• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

• Travel up to 10% to various ET sites

Requirements : Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills and abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

• BS Engineering with concentration in Civil, Mechanical or Metallurgical or related degree• Minimum of 3- 6 years' experience working in pipeline operations, pipeline design and pipeline integrity; six plus years of experience desirable in pipeline repair and pipeline integrity issues such as corrosion control, pipeline assessment and fitness for service evaluation, risk management, DOT Code requirements and compliance.• The position requires a candidate with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• A highly developed ability with PC's and office computer software is required.

• Must be a self-starter and self-motivator, ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision

Working Conditions:

1. Usually, normal office working conditions.

2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

3. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.

5. Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
