Your team will be

• Enabling the core platform services for our organization to consume - AWS, Kubernetes, service discovery, DNS, IPAM, load balancing, private cloud, etc
• Helping the organization transform into a modern product engineering organization
• Driving a customer centric, highly personalized approach to the evolution of our platform
• Continuing our efforts to realize a robust hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Delivering software in an agile environment, continuously

Responsibilities:

• Implement emerging tools and processes necessary to achieve required SLOs
• Help design and drive the implementation of our Observability strategy
• Help design and drive the implementation of our Cloud security and compliance strategy
• Implement our core platform services
• Implement our self-service enabled infrastructure-as-a-code solutions
• Advanced knowledge of all facets of our Cloud Platforms to provide support and escalation issues.
• Accountable for continuous improvement in supporting cloud-native platforms
• Collaborate with application and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality product is developed and deployed in production.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of one of the major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Advanced programming experience in Python or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Advanced knowledge of Platform Orchestration using ContainerD, Helm, Kubernetes
• Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure and Application Monitoring concepts
• Advanced knowledge in designing & implementing infrastructure-as-a-code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux administration.
• Extensive experience with deploying applications that utilize Service Mesh
• Extensive experience administering Kubernetes clusters.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; may consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• 8 years' experience in software engineering with a degree; 12 years' experience in software engineering / system administration in lieu of a degree

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• Cloud Provider Solutions Architects Certificates
• Experience of GitOps principals.
• Experience implementing secure and compliant Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience deploying and managing stateful distributed service in Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing secure techniques related to Regulatory Compliance (SOC2, HiTrust, HIPAA)
• Experience with intrusion detection systems.
• Extensive experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Working knowledge of GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, SonarQube, ArgoCD, Artifactory, and / or DataDog

Work Conditions:

• Corporate office/lab environment or work from home (EST)
• Ability to travel, if required (post covid).
