How will you make an impact in this role?

American Express is embarking on an exciting transformation driven by an energetic team of high performers. You will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team responsible for delivering the technology that enables world class chat interactions with our card members. You will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Work closely with product managers and product owners.
• Work closely with a team of engineers to design, build, test and deploy.
• Actively participate in the various engineering forums to learn from others as well as educate others.
• Contribute meaningfully toward the continuous improvement of ConneX Digital platform and practices.
• Stays informed on the latest trends in the industry and at American Express and adopt them as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with design and coding across one or more object-oriented platforms and languages.
• Hands-on experience to implement solutions using HTML, CSS, Java Script, Java/J2EE, Spring Framework.
• Experience in developing REST Services using Spring Boot.
• Desirable to have experience with performance and monitoring tools e.g. Splunk, App Dynamics, Dynatrace.
• Exposure to CICD Tools including Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with application design, software development and relational and NoSQL databases.
• Must be proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, and results driven.

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
