Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live in the state of Georgia or within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations.

The Engineer Lead is responsible for full delivery of end to end system development and maintenance on medium Enterprise wide technology platforms.

How you will make an impact:

  • Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings.
  • Leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the business.
  • Leads efforts with Web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products.
  • May implement improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
  • May implement process to reduce barriers and roadblocks in projects, services, and processes in order to operate more efficiently.
  • Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary.
  • Develops and owns list of final enhancements.
  • Develops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
  • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
  • Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.
  • Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning effort.
  • Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process.
  • Owns the technical development environment and works on the Enterprise team.
  • Leads multiple or large projects and facilitates large group JAD sessions for requirements, modeling in several disciplines.
  • Leads vendor evaluation and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 7 years related experience; multi platform, multi-dimensional experience, and expert level experience with business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Experience mentoring others and provide troubleshooting support strongly preferred.
  • Multi database and/or multi language strongly preferred.
  • Experience creating architectural solutions that articulate the business context, conceptual design, and component-level logical design preferred
  • Experience recommending new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment preferred
  • Experience driving new technologies towards implementation and exploitation preferred
  • Experience working on infrastructure improvements for the application along with devops & development teams preferred
  • Experience working with product owners, performance testing team and dev leads to improve application performance and improve security preferred
  • Experience establishing overall systems architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged preferred
  • Experience contributing to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture preferred
  • Experience defining architecture standards and anticipate areas where architecture standards may need to be developed that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards preferred
  • Experience directing the construction of architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture) preferred
  • Experience working with business units to translate business strategy into discrete requirements compatible with current technical architectures preferred
  • Experience defining systems, technical, and application architectures for new strategic initiatives preferred
  • Experience developing and maintaining an architectural blueprint and evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates the strategic direction for these architectures in support of business and technical strategies preferred
  • Experience explaining how the roadmap maintains and delivers cost effectiveness, business value, and competitiveness preferred
  • Experience estimating effort and cost for small to large initiatives preferred
  • Experience creating End to End solution architecture for small to large initiatives by collaborating with all necessary teams preferred
  • Five years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines preferred
  • Experience mentoring others, leading large projects and providing troubleshooting support preferred
  • Agile mindset and experience in Agile methodology preferred
  • 7+ years of API development & management experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud preferred
  • Experience in performance tuning, CI/CD pipeline, splunk/kibana & NoSQL databases preferred
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred
  • Experience to debug issues related to application, cloud, network, security, performance and provide preferred
  • Experience producing physical architecture diagrams and recommending feasible improvements preferred
  • Experience coaching and training development leads preferred
  • Experience with industry standards, design principles, new technologies in the market preferred
