Our Service Assurance Engineering team is seeking a driven, well-rounded software engineering professional to join our growing team. In this role, you will work with a multi-functional team responsible for assessing production readiness for new applications, features, and infrastructure changes. You must be a self-starter! Eager to learn new technology trends, and partner with the business teams to ensure technology changes do not impact our customers.

If you are an engineer with a passion for operating things and the desire to understand full stack (business down to infrastructure), and you embrace the instinct to support defects, solve and code problems away, then this dynamic role is for you!
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for mainframe applications
  • Liaise between Global Infrastructure, collaborate with development and partner interfacing teams.
  • Debug defects as well as develop dashboards using modern monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk) to enable reduction in detection time.
  • Effectively lead a bridge and escalate as part of a larger incident management process.
  • Understand upstream and downstream dependencies and collaborate with internal and third party vendor technology teams as well as principal software vendors to resolve complex issues
  • Function as member of a DevOps Team following the agile practice provide design inputs and operational standard methodologies.

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer science engineering or related technical experience. Up to 3 years of dynamic experience in software engineering.
Required:
  • Mainframe experience - JCL, Cobol, DB2, IMS, CICS, SQLs using SPUFI, IKJEFT01.
  • Knowledge on scheduling tools (Control-M or similar), IBM mainframe utilities, SORT utilities, mainframe performance product (BMC's apptune or similar).
  • Hands on experience in analyzing job history logs (JHS or similar), DB2 master logs, CICS logs, IMS logs.
  • Experience with identifying application/infrastructure risks and mitigation strategy and the ability to work with a team to ensure risks are mitigated.
  • Experience with debugging techniques for root cause analysis of issues.
  • ITIL working knowledge: Event, Incident, Release, Problem and Knowledge Management.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: programming languages, networking, Linux/Windows, middleware, databases, cloud.
Experience in one or more areas is a plus:
  • Performance troubleshooting and tuning, experience implementing high availability solutions like Always on, Clustering, Mirroring etc.
  • Experience working with application performance monitoring, Moogsoft or an equivalent tool to improve overall efficiency.
  • DevOps knowledge for highly available IT infrastructure.
  • Building live production APIs and services.
  • Experience with automation development.
  • Familiar with Agile or other rapid application development methods.
  • Hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
