What you will do
This position staffs, manages and leads engineering teams responsible for Residential Coil & Air handlers product designs. This position manages the new product development of major product families, engineering technology, and/or multiple smaller projects.
Leads activities to design new coils and air handlers products, introduce new technology, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test plans & procedures. Leads engineers in advancing their skills as an engineer and program manager to best optimize execution of project needs. Identifies project resource requirements, reviews overall impact and manages resources within project and fiscal limits. Masters standard principles, methods and procedures and advanced/specialized principles, methods and procedures for immediate programs. Advances the state of the art. Collaborates cross functionally with production, procurement, and product management to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products. Forecasts operating costs of department , development team, and or specific projects. Determines proficiency and applies best principles, methods and procedures. Provides development team with boundaries, objectives and strategies. Understands general operation of Ducted Systems and overall impact of project activity. Tracks industry trends, relevant legislation, and competitor activities. Other duties may be assigned.

What we look for
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combined education and experience, Master's Degree preferred.
- Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software.
- Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
- Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
- Strong planning, forecasting and presentation skills with proven product design and management skills
Preferred
- Experience working with heat exchangers, air flow development, and system design.
- System simulation strengths.
- Understanding of SAP
- Self-driven, team building leader.
