Engineer - Manufacturing Process Planning

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Deep understanding of Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering Activities for all functions including Vehicle, Powertrain, Battery Processes for an Automobile OEM
• Develop, Establish and Streamline the Business Processes for all functions involving both Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering activities and Implement in the new Virtual Engineering Transformation (VET) tool
• Analyze existing Business processes of all functions and identify areas for improvement.
• Design and Document streamlined processes to be implemented in the VET Tool
• Customize and Configure the VET tool to Support the Business Process for the Functions and Ensure Seamless integration with other Business process and Tools.
• Creating the New Capability through Enhancement Requests in the VET Tool for the Upcoming Programs as and when needed
• Create a plan for new programs by aligning with counterparts as per the CLL timelines and work towards meeting the targets.
• Collaborate and work closely with Global/Regional Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering teams.

• Work with IT / Supplier to resolve the concerns in the VET Tool
• Work with Functions and understand the Requirements and Implement the New Business process in VET Tool
• Work Closely with Stakeholders to ensure the tool meets the Business needs and expectations.
• Provide Ongoing support for process related issues in VET Tool.
• Conduct Testing to ensure that the VET tool meets process requirement and functions as expected.
• Deliver automation projects in Business Processes to achieve the goal of 50% efforts reduction
• Methods Development for New Business process in VET Tool
• Track all the Concerns raised by the Stakeholders and Monitor for Closure
• Maintain Comprehensive documentation of Process

• At least 10+ years Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Automobile Engineering
• Hands on Experience in Process & Industrial Engineering activities in any OEM
• Exposure to Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering activities during the Advance Engineering phase till Implementation phase of a program
• Knowledge of Automobile Plants & Layout / Teamcenter PLM
• Cross cultural Exposure - Working experience with counterparts from other countries/Regions/plants
• Certified MoDAPTS practitioner is required
• Excellent Communication / Presentation / Decision Making / Collaborative skills
