Job Description
We are looking for an engaged professional for an open position we have as Remote Support Engineer based in Colombia, reporting to the Managed Services Supervisor. You will be responsible for cloud server management, database administration, industrial data center virtualization, and digital threat mitigation for our customer from different industrial segments.
Your Responsibilities:
- Cloud server management
- Virtualization - VMware Solutions
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 -2019 configuration.
- Mitigation of digital threats.
- Administration in Backup solutions (Veeam -Veritas Backup Exec)
- Database administration (Active Directory)
- Performance monitoring techniques on server software and hardware
- Active Directory Architecture
- Performance monitoring techniques on server software and hardware
- Resolve problems related to industrial Datacenters.
The Essentials – You Will Have (1):
- Experience with multiple types of server and storage hardware
o Discrete servers
o Blade servers
o Storage Area Networks
- Experience with Active Directory tools and utilities.
o VMWare management console.
o Understanding of EMC SAN Storage hardware
- Familiarity with network and san switching technologies
- Good English reading, writing and verbal communication skills
- Work in a round-the-clock, global operation 7 days x 24 hours
- Strict adherence to company standards and procedures
- Excellent trouble shooting skills
The Essentials - You Will Have (2):
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in IT or customer support
- Experience with Virtualization - VMware Solutions
The Preferred - You Might Also Have::
- Background and understanding of IT controls and compliance.
- And proficiency in productivity software (, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, etc.)
