Position Summary

Act as a key contributor as a product validation engineer in a multi-functional team of R&D, systems engineering, and product validation to introduce Samsung products to Wireless Carrier

Role and Responsibilities

Act as a key contributor as a product validation engineer in a multi-functional team of R&D, systems engineering, and product validation to introduce Samsung products to Wireless Carrier. Maintain architecture quality optimization to develop the environment and domain of the organization by analyzing and verifying software architecture. Manage software quality through structure, quality, performance analysis and verification of software based on the static and dynamic analysis method. Responsible for development of product validation, feature validation, systems and performance analysis, customer review sessions for LTE RAN products focusing on Air interface, E2E performance, and Call Processing. Analyze the product and feature requirements, converting them into system test cases and execution to ensure product meets customer specifications. Assist in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product and software releases. Drive the technical solutions to customers through complex organizational dynamics. Perform detailed wireless protocol analysis. Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting the issues. Educate customers on Samsung's new products and services both individually and in a team environment. Ensure that customer commitments are achieved according to plan. Make professional technical sales presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, to an audience of high technical skills, management, and operational experience. Develop accurate proposals and designs to meet customer needs. Work closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from SEA and Samsung HQ to achieve successful new product rollouts and developments. Analyze software architecture and design and review the result to analyze the elements that do not meet quality attributes. Perform analysis on software code, oversee quality controls, and review result while analyzing elements that do not meet quality indicator. Improve the efficiency of analysis through automation.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Wireless Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus 6 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related. Applicants must have 6 years in the following (1) DL/UL scheduling, LTE power control, Beamforming, and MIMO; (2) system testing activities including feature validation, test description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, and problem troubleshooting; (3) 4G or 5G air interface and call processing technologies and network architecture specifically focused on Radio Access Network; (4) test tools including protocol analyzers, XCAL/QXDM, Wireshark, Channel Emulator, Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators; and (5) Wireless systems including PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC and PDCP layers. 20% domestic travel required.
