We're looking for a highly-skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a history of building C# .Net applications. Someone who fosters a culture of high quality and innovation using new capabilities to drive the release of resilient, robust, and performant solutions, to help us enhance a global platform that will form the backbone of the American Express Marketing ecosystem.

Joining the Enterprise Marketing team, this role will be focused on the delivery of innovative solutions to satisfy the needs of our business. As an agile team we work closely with our business partners to understand what they require, and we strive to continuously improve as a team. We plan to someday replatform our .NET app in a React JS framework in Cloud, so these skill sets are a strong plus for our candidates.

• As a part of our team, you will be developing innovative, high quality, and robust operational engineering capabilities
• Develop software in our technology stack which is constantly evolving but currently includes C# .Net and RESTful APIs, with Cloud and likely React JS in the future
• Work with Business partners and stakeholders to understand functional requirements, architecture dependencies, and business capability roadmaps
• Create technical solution designs to meet business requirements
• Taking your place as a core member of an Agile team driving the latest development practices
• Identify and drive reengineering opportunities, and opportunities for adopting new technologies and methods

• Suggest and recommend solution architecture to resolve business problems
• Perform peer code review and participate in technical discussions with the team on the best solutions possible

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on Software Development experience in C# .Net and related technologies
• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Technical discipline or equivalent work experience
• Strong expertise in SQL and database theory, and data analytics
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills and design patterns

• Strong CI/CD and testing practices

• Good knowledge and experience with configuration management tools like GitHub
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude
• Good communication skills and teamwork
• Understanding of various SDLC methodologies, particularly Agile
• Open-minded and passionate about learning new technologies
• Willingness to learn new technologies and leverage them to their optimal potential

Preferred Qualifications

• React JS app development
• Cloud-resident app development
• MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solution Developer) certification
• MCP (Microsoft Certified Programmer) certification

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
