Job Description

This job is primarily to develop AFSIM-based simulation software to support space control and multi-domain operations. These simulations will support force structure planning, Joint Combatant Command analysis and operations support, Space Force testing and training, and research and development of space systems. Your daily activity involves gathering data to run experimental simulations while using analytics to define problem sets. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the Operations Research Analyst towards light-weight development and translating trusted government agents needs to a definable problem set.

The majority of work will be on-site in a SCIF with periodic work from home opportunities.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models. Develops software that simulates behavior of users and systems. Develops, integrates and uses graphical user interfaces and visualization tools. Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and provides decision support for alternative architectures. Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis. May build and design training models.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Knowledgeable in Agent-based, event-driven simulators
• Knowledgeable in C++, Python
• Knowledgeable in CMake
• Must be able to obtain and maintain up to a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Requirements

• Familiar using Git, GitLab, JFrog Artifcatory, Jira, Confluence
• Willingness to learn and provide insight into the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM), a C++ based modular object-oriented, multi-domain, multi-resolution modeling and simulation (M&S) framework for military simulations.
• Active DOD Secret clearance preferred.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
