Responsibilities:

• Initiate, design, develop and deploy database optimization solutions
• Data and database migration from on premise to AWS
• Lead the management practice of database compliance to HIPPA regulations
• Design, develop and deploy database store procedure, functions and views
• Lead the effort to help database users improve query performance in database
• Perform server level administrations and architecture changes
• Implement database changes and facilitate software release deployments
• Fast response to database high risk issues and provide solutions to resolve the issues

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Extremely proficient in administrating PostgreSQL and its underlining infrastructure in Linux
• Extended knowledge in AWS tool set and especially AWS RDS PostgreSQL databases
• Advanced experience in database system optimization
• Advanced knowledge of database replication tooling and best practices.
• Sufficient in using Git command and sqitch (or equivalent tools) to perform database change deployment

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
• 8+ years' experience in the job of PostgreSQL Database Administrator or Database Architect.
• 3+ years' experience working as a hands-on Principle or a Lead Database Administrator.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient in using Terraform to deploy or change database
• Advance knowledge in managing DocumentDB or MongoDB
• Extended experience of handling PHI data and database with PHI data
