Engineering Business Development Specialist Intern

Overview
We are seeking a full-time Engineering Business Development Specialist Intern in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing global partnership tools, systems and other resources needed to enable global partnerships and engineering business development. These tools, systems and resources will advance our partnership collaborations and allow EBD Managers to swiftly complete beneficial partnerships and contract terms for Garmin and furthering Garmin`s engineering & product development.
Essential Functions
- Internally support Garmin`s global external 3rd party partnerships by analyzing contract tools, systems, and resources
- Analyze the inclusion of partner assets in marcom and product deliverables for 3rd party compliance, as appropriate, and ensure products are accurately represented in marketing materials
- Become a key contributor to team by analyzing new/current tools & systems and identifying new efficiencies/resources to enhance toolset
- Analyze existing business processes/practices in order to recognize areas for internal improvement and potential tools for support
- Proactively provide recommendations to executive management on tools and systems to improve departmental performance and operational best practices
- Work with team members to establish plans and assist with collaboration across departments as needed to facilitate adherence to deadlines and achieve departmental goals
Basic Qualifications
- Completed coursework in a business or related degree discipline OR possess a combination of education & experience
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0)
- Proven analysis experience and/or demonstrated knowledge in analysis, communication, or general business concepts/processes
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to deal with confidential company matters
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts quickly
- Demonstrated proficient and effective data entry skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience using Microsoft Outlook
- Previous internship experience externally or internally
