Your Role:

The Engineering Change Coordinator – Production Control & Logistics will lead the flow of information & facilitate end-to-end execution of the Engineering Change (ECN) process at Hanford Factory, including but not limited to ECN’s, Build Events, Buildout events, Special Projects, Pilot builds, etc. related to Parts & Materials.

  • Ensure effective means of communication for distribution and implementation of ECNs and scope related projects.
  • Compliance to Faraday Future ECN procedure to ensure that all changes meet expectations and timing commitments to the customer.
  • Develop and Manage ECN implementation checklist and Implementation timing for the department through visual management methods such as communication boards and War Room environments.
  • Actively engage with & participate in cross functional engineering/part change meetings.
  • Work with all PC&L areas – warehouse & inventory management, material planning/MRP, material handling/material flow, packaging etc. to ascertain impact (cost, resources and timing, etc.). Be prepared with information to be shared with NPI and Engineering Change Management team to be included in change approval.
  • Work closely with factory NPI team in consolidation of operations/production impact.
  • Actively engage with and participate in factory cross-functional ECN Implementation meetings & content change reviews.
  • Work closely with Material Planning/Inventory Management teams to understand stock related to part levels and material effectivity/cut off points.
  • Work with warehouse/material planning team to manage special pilot crib (as needed) to manage new parts for trials. Follows up new parts until first receipt.
  • Manage ECN timing and coordination of build events with the production teams/NPI. Coordinate these activities in advance and share with all PC&L teams, so proper event support could be obtained.
  • Verify parts as required for SAP and ensure BOMs are properly updated and information is flowing to SAP containing part pedigree, revision levels & quantities.
  • Ensure out of production process parts are quarantined properly with tagging.
  • Understand the details of product changes. If needed, Retrieve CAD models and review overlays of product changes to verify content
  • Verify production inventory vs. implementation timing is accurate in SAP and ECN forms. Manage cut off points closely to avoid material shortages and reduce obsolescence.
  • Develops plant break point using the following criteria (Supplier input, Plant reference, Engineering direction, Marketing request, Production order management input)
  • Monitoring production inventory and its tracking (via metrics) to support achieving targets defined for scenarios of build banks and coordinated change events.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with all impacted departments as well as outside vendors and conduct all business activities in a professional manner.
  • Verify obsolete material is forecasted, accounted for and documented with manufacturing finance, with forms, pictures etc. and dispositioned in a proper/timely manner. Check with other teams such as service, engineering etc. if they need obsolescence material for their use.
  • Assist in managing prototype requirements related to timing, inspection & delivery as needed by the program.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering in related discipline with at least 3 years of experience in similar role in automotive industry OR equivalent relevant years of professional experience.
  • Must have automotive Engineering or Operational experience in material flow and understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), Value Streams & Control Plans.
  • Detailed organizational skills (meticulous is a must!)
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills & practices effective communication methods.
  • Ability to navigate through fast-paced environment and willingness to re-prioritize to meet the deadlines.
  • Proficient in creating schedules and implementing plans within Microsoft Suite (including Microsoft Project for Gantt charts)
  • Able to demonstrate clear understanding of automotive key performance indicators.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fundamental experience in viewing CAD models & overlays (Catia, AutoCAD or similar)
  • Experience with Materials Requirement Planning “MRP” Software such as SAP
  • Experience with PLM systems and their interface with MRP
  • Experience with Automotive assembly processes, especially welding & stamping tooling.
  • Experience liaising with outside vendors.

Annual Salary Range:

($86,000 to $110,000 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
