Job Title: UI Developer, Operational Risk & Resilience Metrics (ORRM)

WHAT DOES ORRM DO

The Operational Risk & Resilience Metrics - ORRM team is building out a foundational product that provides transparency and enables mitigation of non-financial risks across all the firms' front to back businesses and cross-divisional functions, covering the risk and resilience domains of process, engineering, vendor, people & facilities.

ORRM product is expected to 1) provide a uniform view of non-financial risks across the firm's f2b businesses and cross-divisional functions; 2) provide aggregated dashboards to view non-financial risks with low latency; 3) provide ability to do in-depth analysis on the non-financial risks by on-boarding drill-down data along with the metric's dimensional data and values; 4) provide ability to set thresholds on non-financial risk metrics, and alerting when those thresholds are breached; 5) streamline the process of gathering and reporting key non-financial risk metrics to various consumers across the 1st line functions, the leadership teams across divisions and regions; and 6) provide a streamlined metrics on-boarding process, including meeting the required data governance requirements.

The ORRM Product has users from senior leadership to divisional leadership and line managers. To serve its user it needs very generic and customizable UI and user experience should be customized to the user persona. The UI and UX for the product is key and is the most important aspect to make it successful.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects in the team, with a mix of both functional and technical aspects and the opportunity to learn the business from experts.

This is a developer role and candidate would be expected to spend much of his/her time on code development activities, working with the technology teams and technical architects globally.

As a UI lead in Dallas, you will be responsible to work with UX designer and users to develop user experience. You will also be responsible, while working with junior developers, for the implementation and testing of the UI dashboard, screens and services to deliver the user experience designed with the end users.

HOW YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL

Process / Function Management

Work closely with UX designer and clients to design right UX experience

Develop generic and re-usable UI components and services for faster delivery

Train and nurture the junior developers and make them highly productive

Maintain highest standard of code quality and maintainability

Drive and participate in various stakeholder meetings for requirement reviews and deliverables.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPEREINCE:

A bachelor level degree or higher in Engineering is required, hands on proficiency in design and development of web applications using ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, Rest

5+ years of experience in design and development of full web based application

Extensive knowledge of AWS native frameworks and services

Understanding of back-end services like database and messaging would be a plus

Proven leadership and relationship management skills with ability to work with various stakeholders including executives and employees.

Strong organizational skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.

Ability to learn new topics quickly and navigate large organizations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills: JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, CSS, SASS, React Router, MongoDB, Rest, UI testing frameworks

Drive and Motivation: Organized and motivated with an ability to work independently, multitask, and manage conflicting priorities

Teamwork: Strong team player who collaborates with others, experience in agile software development practices

Self-motivated to find new ways to improve processes and develop creative solutions that align with business objectives
