Engineering Intern

Responsibilities:

Assist design / development of VBA software to interface between Engineering and Sales

• Work closely with Core engineering team to understand the ECM (Engineering Change Process) as implemented specifically for the NA Stellantis customer
• Work with the Stellantis sales team to understand how changes are quoted
  • Determine what customer documentation is created
  • Document any adjustments that are necessary per their quoting procedures
  • Validate that the ECM Excel output contains all the necessary data to quote to the customer
• Research and gain comprehension of what was done for European OEM's to understand what tool set is necessary to develop the interface
  • Will most likely require a week of one on one interface in Aptiv Portugal
• Write the programming software to take the ECM Excel output and translate it to the customer quoting format
• Train the sales teams to utilize the VBA software
  • Create a procedure to be contained within the Excel documentation
• Validate the functionality by comparing sales output to VBA generated forms
• Determine what is necessary to repeat the process for remaining NA OEM's

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably Junior standing Computer Science or Electrical engineering
• Proficiency in computer programing languages (.net, C++ language, etc)
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
• 1+ years' experience in a team environment
• Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal
• Multi-tasking team player with a hands-on approach
• Willingness to travel (Passport)
• Self-Starter (can with little guidance take the ball over the line)

Nice to Haves:

• VBA Programming Experience
• Exposure to enterprise environment (Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Finance)
