At Daylight, you'll work on projects that make a difference to our business objectives. You'll gain exposure by working on a multi-disciplinary team that works cross-functionally on a variety of current and relevant projects. You will be mentored and appreciated as a valued participant who is contributing to the development of the latest laser technology. At the conclusion of the internship, you will present a summary of your project work to Senior Leaders as well as an audience of your peers and co-workers. We are looking to fill intern positions across multiple engineering disciplines including: Electrical, Firmware, Laser, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Optical, Process, Quality, Software and Systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with various engineering assignments
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
• Assist engineers with appropriate design details
• Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
• Gather and assemble data for engineers
• May be required to help in research in a particular field
• Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Engineering student; some progress towards engineering degree
• Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
• Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
• Intern positions are not eligible for relocation or sponsorship
