Engineering Intern

RESPEC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm has an opening for an engineering intern in the Water Resources/Development Engineering Division in the Albuquerque, New Mexico, office. Primary responsibilities will include administrative support; assistance with engineering reports, marketing materials, construction documents, drafting, Geographic Information System (GIS), and minor engineering calculations; and other duties assigned. The successful candidate will work under the direction of multiple project managers (engineers).

The ideal candidate would be local and should be a student interested in engineering in civil, environmental, or a related field. The candidate should have experience with computer skills, especially in using spreadsheets, as well as a strong interest in AutoCAD and GIS. The candidate must have proven interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Work Schedule: Temporary part-time position throughout the summer and possibly through the school year.

Compensation: $15 to $20 per hour, depending on experience, plus statutory insurance requirements.
