Engineering Intern

The Design Engineering Intern will assist the Completion Tools Engineering Department in developing and testing downhole completion tool products per industry standards. The requirements of the position are enrollment in an accredited university engineering program, basic understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems, willingness to learn and the ability to apply knowledge gained in a practical way.

Responsibilities for mechanical engineering intern

• Assist in sustaining engineering and prototype development

• Complete sustaining engineering tasks using Teamcenter software
• Assist engineering in product design and development
• Support engineers with product development tasks such as testing and test support
• To perform other related duties as assigned
• Perform problem solving methods to resolve issues with products

• Make design changes/improvements to products to resolve issues
• CAD modeling and drawing creation

Qualifications for mechanical engineering intern

• Hands on mechanical ability
• Experience with machine element design and hydraulic systems

• Minimum 3 months experience working on open-ended design or research problems
• Actively pursuing a B.S
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
• Proficiency with standard office programs
• Proficiency with 3D CAD systems such as Solidworks

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering) or higher at an accredited college or university, or recent graduate
