Stantec's multi-disciplinary office in Alpharetta, GA has an opportunity for a highly motivated Engineering Intern.

Whether a project calls for permitting and regulatory support, engineers, designers, field and construction support, or facility operators, we have the right experts to provide holistic and creative, yet practical, water solutions. Through our cost-effective strategies, we are helping clients increase their water efficiency and protect their water resources for future generations. Stantec's Alpharetta, GA office has an opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join their Water practice. Stantec's Industrial Water team is a dynamic team of experts working across a wide range of industries including power, semiconductors, manufacturing, and food & beverage.

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist the local project delivery team with report and documentation preparation, project administration, and research assistance
  • Develop spreadsheet calculations to support team
  • Develop process engineering documents including flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), engineering lists, process data sheets, and performance specifications
  • Write documents summarizing work performed
  • Meet schedule requirements
  • Perform site inspections, construction observations, start up and commissioning support, and report preparation
  • Assist with project permit applications, preparations, and processing
  • Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and process modeling software is a plus
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Must have valid drivers' license.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an ABET accredited bachelor's or master's Chemical, Mechanical, or Biological Engineering program.
  • Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
