Engineering Internship

As a software engineering intern at Talroo, you will work on real, shipping software. You will receive mentoring from the Talroo team and learn more about software development from industry experts.  By the end of the summer, we will expect you to deliver something great.  

Because we’re a fast-growing company small business, you will complete your internship with experience in all aspects of the software engineering process and having made a real contribution to our team and product – two things you might never get at a larger company!  

Talroo is looking for summer interns for 2024. The internship would take place in our office at Austin, TX.

As an Engineering Intern at Talroo, you will:  

• Learn how to drive the analysis and implementation of new and existing software features. 
• Develop Commercial Quality Data Engineering and AI Products. 
• Help define and deliver valuable, usable, and automatically testable code.  
• Assist with internal issue resolution, root cause analysis, and defect prevention.  
• Develop testable, production quality code under the supervision and tutelage of highly experienced software engineers.  
• Learn through experience by consulting with teammates on high visibility projects.   
• Collaborate with outstanding software engineers from around the world.  
• Expand knowledge and usage of AWS for complete cloud devops and development.  

What we are looking for in a highly qualified candidate:  

• Graduation Date: December 2024 or May 2025 
• The perfect candidate has interest in expanding their knowledge of Big Data Platform (Spark), Deep Learning (Tensorflow), AWS, etc.  
• Ensure high quality by following coding best practices, code reviews, and providing automated tests  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
• Top grades or a track record of success  
• Computer Science Major Required 
• Understanding of and experience with SQL, Python, Java 
• Candidates must be willing to reside in Austin, TX for the duration of the internship. At this time, there is no relocation subsidy being offered.
