Your Role at impact.com:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Lead to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software development, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for driving technical excellence. This role involves leading a team of talented engineers and data scientists, managing project timelines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers to achieve their full potential and deliver outstanding results.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and with high quality.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals.
- Promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Address technical challenges and roadblocks. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Allocate resources effectively to balance multiple projects and priorities. Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and support.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for growth and development within the team
What You Have:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of tech industry work experience as a software engineer or engineering lead.
- Strong background in software development with hands-on experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript).
- Proficiency in software architecture and design principles.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with recommendation systems, algorithmic experimentation, and research, and advanced conversion optimization.
- Excellent communicator, able to articulate business questions and use mathematical techniques to derive answers from available data.
- Experience communicating analysis results with product and leadership teams to influence product strategy.
- Understanding of digital marketing and statistical algorithms used in marketing analytics.
- Ability to navigate complex business organizations and manage multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and self-direction, with a willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
Nice to have:
- Experience in advertising technology and affiliate marketing is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in project management or software development.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, machine learning, or other advanced technologies.
- Affiliate & Partnerships Industry Fundamentals Certification by PXA.
- Fluent in Norwegian.
