Engineering Lead Analyst

The Engineering Lead Analyst - Application Performance Management (APM) is a senior engineer/developer position and with a wide range of monitoring tools, but especially a subject matter expert with APM (e.g. AppDynamics or Dynatrace, both on-premises and SaaS). This position will be responsible for driving the engineering activities for APM tools and their core components including the delivery of automating APM agent solutions at a large scale, and driving innovations for deployment across various OS platforms like Linux, Windows and hybrid Cloud.

Responsibilities:
Be a subject matter expert for the APM Engineering team
Drive POCs and incubate new features and capabilities
Be forward looking and ensure long term strategic success
Identify and Develop an automation of the entire agent release process to minimize the testing and release cycles
Identify problem causality, business impact and root causes
Operate in an Agile development environment using system development lifecycle methodologies
Work closely with the APM sector tenant operations team, operations team and application teams to deliver best-in-class monitoring
Represent APM Engineering team in regular weekly/bi-weekly stakeholder meetings and able to provide updates on the release activities and discuss new requirements.
Advise or mentor junior team members
Perform proof of concepts in new areas of development and tools

Qualifications:
5-7+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering & IT role
4+ years of Application Development Experience (Java) at an enterprise level is a strong plus
4+ years working with APM tools (ideally AppDynamics and/or Dynatrace)
3+ years of Experience working with Microservices architectures especially in RedHat OpenShift container environment.
2+ years of Experience with a range of architecture tech stacks including Java/.NET/Node.js app servers, Apache/NGinX/IHS Web Servers, TIBCO etc. and the knowledge of instrumenting monitoring for these tech stacks (ideally AppDynamics)
2+ years of Experience operating in an environment with automation pipeline tools such as Ansible and Jenkins, a plus
2+ years of Experience developing Unix shell scripting, a plus
Hands-on development experience required to develop docker images for APM agents, validate and implement a mechanism to deploy it in OpenShift container environment
Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket and GitHub, a plus
Experience with API development and usage, a plus
Experience implementing Agile development environment using JIRA issue tracking system and conduct regular Sprint Planning and review meeting within the team
Able to determine the priority of user requirements, engineering tasks and add/update them to the Sprints and Backlogs
Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including operations and application developers
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
