Role Mission:Â
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers, including directing, coordinating and exercising authority for planning, organization, testing, leadership and completion of engineering projects. The Engineering Manager will be accountable for the development of engineering capabilities and for ensuring proper engineering processing to obtain maximum productivity and quality.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, the engineering director, and any other relevant stakeholders to flesh out team projects into workable requirements.
- Ensure the team completes technical projects in a timely and quality fashion.
- Lead large, technical projects – directing and coordinating the work of your team.
- Work with recruiting to assist in sourcing and interviews for approved open roles.
- Direct and coordinate production, operations, quality assurance, testing, or maintenance
- Monitor performance of individual contributors and help manage their professional development
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer, ideally building large scale systems, along with 2+ years as a people manager
- Experienced relationship builder who can drive collaboration from cross-functional teams
- An analytics driven problem solver familiar with quality software at scale
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
