About the position:
Responsible for the planning and execution of assigned projects or portions of major projects effectively utilizing managed resources. Assigns personnel to projects, tasks and monitors progress. Operates under general supervision with appreciable latitude for unreviewed action. Assesses progress and recommends changes to project direction when appropriate. Under general supervision, plans, organizes, controls, directs and follows-up on group assignments. You will:
- Provides technical and administrative guidance and direction for individuals and projects within the group.
- Acts as technical Project Director for major programs or significant portions thereof.
- Monitors and reviews group progress against plans and objectives.
- Monitors and ensures adherence to Product Development Process and other department and company processes.
- Provides technical assistance and support to other groups as assigned.
- Plans, assigns, and monitors project and group personnel commitments.
- Provides input to Department Manager on strategic direction for Engineering development.
- Coordinates development activity between the multiple Engineering groups and other groups as appropriate to accomplish objectives.
- Conducts performance appraisals and salary reviews.
- Develops workforce planning and utilization requirements.
- Resolves work problems, or assists employees in work-related problems solving on a level that may be commensurate with the expectations of an Engineer IV.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
- Conducts presentations to all business levels.
- Travel to customer sites, other divisions and technical conferences is required.
- Has authority to hire/fire, and appraise performance. Provides work direction to individuals or department and assists in resolving problems. Implements employee relations programs and resolves personnel issues. Participates in development and implementation of Corporate and Division "Vision." Develops plans so vision is achieved.

About the work environment:
Works in a factory setting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in accordance with Company policy. For forklift operation, required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company and operate the forklift in a safe manner. Required to stand for long periods of time and manually lift/move/manipulate parts up to 50 pounds or use cranes/hoists to move heavier materials. Temperatures may be extreme; elevated in the summer, cold in the winter. Needs to be able to cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance are maintained.
About you:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (minimum) in electrical, electronic, mechanical, industrial engineering or computer science. 5 - 8 years (or more) experience specializing in machine design, software development, electrical design, electronic design, product engineering, or manufacturing engineering, or value engineering. Possesses and applies to the completion of difficult assignments or projects a comprehensive knowledge of particular field of engineering related specialization. Demonstrates interpersonal skills (staff motivation and interdepartmental coordination), organizational ability, and effective communication.
About the total compensation package:
Salary - Salaries ranging from $93,000 - $120,000 per year
Relocation - This position may qualify for relocation.

Requirements
