Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise all engineering department personnel
• Supervise Design Department Manager
• Supervise Documentation Department Manager
• Responsible for engineering department budget and costs
• Provide technical assistance to sales and applications during the proposal stage
• Responsible for all technical aspects of projects
• Responsible for producing orders within labor and material budgets of the projects
• Provide proper engineering resources for project execution
• Responsible for producing safe product designs
• Provide technical guidance and proper training for all engineering personnel
• Responsible for the safety of all engineering personnel
• Other duties may also be assigned
• Authority over decisions related to engineering and design processes, budgets, and costs
• Authority over decisions regarding engineering and design personnel

Qualifications of the Engineering Manager include, but are not limited to:

• At least X years of experience in project engineering
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers
• Ability to prioritize individual project tasks for the most efficiency completion of the all projects in the master schedule
• Ability to resolve conflicts and overcome potential obstacles that could impact projects
• Flexibility and willingness to seek out new solutions
• Ability to manage risks
