Engineering Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

We’re looking for a talented and ambitious Engineering Manager who wants to have a meaningful impact on the healthcare system here in the US. If you take pride in owning systems and have a desire to take them from inception to scale, this may be a great role for you. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design and build systems from inception to production to deployment, ready to scale

• Collaborate with other technical leaders on our vision to lead discussions and implementations across multiple complex projects
• Improve our engineering processes, tools, and systems
• Manage and inspire a growing team of engaged engineers at various career levels 

WHO YOU ARE: 

• You have 5+ of experience in coding in a modern language, preferably TypsScript/Node.js or Ruby
• You have 5+ or more years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
• You have built sophisticated production software systems
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop other team members including early career software engineers
• Experience defining system architecture(s) and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs and capabilities
• Startup attitude, ownership, and the right balance of quality and sense of urgency
