The Team: 

The MAIN (Product) Engineering team builds  new products and services to delight our clients. We operate at the intersection of strong customer empathy, engineering excellence, and top-notch design. We are engineers, product managers, and designers who work together under a highly collaborative ethos. Delivering the best possible experiences for our customers is our emphasis. We are expanding our product-line and moving into new markets - we are looking for strong communicators, builders, and team players to come join us!

As an Engineering Manager you will build and lead a team of talented engineers that create delightful and innovative experiences for all our customers.. You will partner with leaders across product, engineering, and design to deliver on our roadmap. You will also gain a unique look into how the US financial system works on the inside and strengthen your financial-domain knowledge. The scope and challenges inherent in delivering our products will be massive. You will leverage your past experiences to propel the team past known obstacles and edge cases. As the voice of experience in the team, you will help mentor teammates, evolve our technical standards and best practices, and further our culture of system designs.

You Will:

• Develop inclusive teams which empower people to do the best work of their careers.
• Mentor and grow engineers while keeping them engaged and focused on the product and company vision.
• Partner with peers in Product Management & Design to deliver products that fill our users with delight. Improve the quality of Clear Streets products and engineering by refining metrics and establishing processes for improvement.
• Help implement effective engineering processes and policies that emphasize quality and forward progress.

Requirements:

• You have demonstrated the ability to serve in an engineering management role shipping customer-facing products.
• You have led a full stack team including mobile, web, and backend engineers.
• You are organized. With many people doing many things in a fast-moving company, strong organizational skills—both for yourself and for the team—will be required.
• You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• You are able to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid choices in a fast-moving and quickly-growing company.
• You love helping engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers. You don’t shy away from performance conversations and you recognize the relationship between constructive feedback and career growth.
• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
