Engineering Manager

Responsible for technical leadership for project members and software architecture in complex software development projects. This position plays a leadership role in the US, serving as our onsite leader working with the client, while guiding and directing his team members in Vietnam regarding task priority, scheduling, and technical/business question resolution. He will combine technical lead and coordination efforts to act as lead architect for infrastructure, solutions and software. Accountable for leading the development team to maintain, improve code quality and maintainability of the software suite and achieve other operational goals for the software suite (i.e., ease of deployment, CI/CD readiness). Perform hands-on coding and code review for other peer developers as needed. Participate in software architecture and design activities with both the client’s technical leaders and KMS onshore/offshore. Make technical decisions for the successful development of applications. Work with US-based clients and Vietnam development teams to understand business needs and develop technical solutions for enterprise applications. Ensure offshore engineers understand and comply with the product vision and technical direction of projects. Participate in solving challenging technical issues and provide other technical support to end users as needed. Support HR team for technical interview sessions. Lead and conduct training to empower members to achieve a greater level of programming skill. Actively participate in sprint planning and retrospective meetings. Propose estimate or estimate reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in IT, Computer Science, or closely related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer and/or Software Developer.
• Must have experience working with e-commerce software, J2EE, SQL, Oracle & Microsoft Azure.
• May work remotely 100% of the time from anywhere in the U.S.
