Engineering Manager - Ads Signals Growth

As the Engineering Manager of the Ads Signals Growth team at Reddit you will be responsible for leading the team that develops and maintains the APIs 3P integrations and foundational infrastructure that collect and curate off-platform signals for use in advertising campaigns while complying with privacy policies.

What You’ll Do

Ads Signals Growth Technical Vision

Your primary mission will be to build and uplevel APIs 3P integrations foundational infrastructures and privacy enhanced technologies so that Reddit’s Ads Signals Growth can scale with our ads business over the next several years. There is plenty of room for guiding and setting technical vision that will have a huge impact on our business.

Execution

You will own the execution of your team’s roadmap and be accountable for consistent predictable delivery. You will ruthlessly prioritize both planned projects and emergent asks. You will coach Tech Leads on project management and empower your team to execute autonomously. You will identify risks and proactively communicate them both internally and externally.

Recruiting

Ads Signals Growth will grow quickly during your tenure at Reddit and our engineering managers are directly responsible for scaling up their teams. You will identify your team’s needs write job descriptions source interview and help close candidates. You will have the support of our incredible recruiting team to bring diverse and talented engineers into Reddit.

You will help your engineers identify career goals and create development plans to achieve them. You will constantly seek opportunities to push your engineers & managers outside their comfort zone and turn followers into leaders.

Quality Control

You will work with your team to develop processes and tooling that constantly improve the quality of our products and systems ensuring that they meet product requirements customer needs and SLAs.

Organizational Alignment

You will serve as a thought partner to product and upper management to ensure your team’s plans align with company goals. You will become an expert in the digital ads business and our customer needs. You will participate in and challenge prioritization decisions. You will communicate your team’s work and set expectations with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and leading a team of engineers to develop and maintain products APIs and infrastructure for collecting and curating off-platform signals

• Driving adoption of our libraries and APIs by creating delightful developer experiences for advertisers

• Adopting new privacy-centric standards and APIs and leveraging privacy enhanced technologies to build the next generation of measurement tools

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product data science and solutions to drive advertising revenue and improve campaign performance

• Setting team goals and objectives and tracking progress towards achieving them

• Identifying and developing talent within the team and providing mentorship and career development opportunities

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer

• Experience partnering with product managers and designers to build new products

• (Nice to have) Experience in ads domains that leverages conversion signals especially direct experience with Signals or Measurement
