The Role:
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join the SoFi Money team. You’ll work in a highly collaborative environment engaging closely with cross-functional Product Design and Engineering teams. You’ll also be involved in the entire product lifecycle—from ideation through deployment with continuous improvement at every stage.
In this role you will play a key role in shaping the future of our banking products and services. We are focused on evolving our Investment system and providing an exceptional end-to-end user experience. This position involves building and maturing member-facing investment services to support new and existing products. Specifically you will be continuing to cultivate a strong front-end culture to help deliver a top-of-the-line investing experience for our members all while enabling our teams to grow learn and reach their own aspirations.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development and testing of our systems and services
- Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the web platforms
- Deliver reusable web SDKs libraries and frameworks to scale web applications and drive consistency
- Design and maintain systems that improve developer experience across CI/CD testing and deployment pipelines.
- Define standards and best practices for performance accessibility and design system adoption.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and alignment of core platform capabilities.
- Tackle complex technical and organizational challenges that span teams and products.
- Mentor engineers support the technical culture and help grow the team
- Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies
- Communicate with project leads product managers and other software developers
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
- 5+ years programming experience ideally on a modern web stack
- Experience working on or leading a web platform team at a large company
- 1+ years management experience
- Maintain code quality performance and sound architectural principles
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment refining designs together working through code reviews and managing pull requests
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves collaborate with others and get stuff done
- Strong sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion
- Affinity for solving problems and shipping impactful features not polishing perfect code or architecture
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment (and git specifically) refining designs together working through code reviews and managing pull requests
Nice to Have:
- React JS / GraphQL experience
- Good understanding of SOLID principles
- Microfrontends and federated web app architecture
- Web monorepo experience
- Frontend web testing frameworks
- Web Accessibility WCAG 2.0
- Web Performance
Skills Required
