Engineering Manager, DataOps Team (Vilnius or Kaunas)

We are expanding and looking for an Engineering Manager who will take care of these four main areas: people, product, tech excellence, and processes.

We're seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our DataOps team. This role is crucial in empowering data-driven decision-making by architecting, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines for our BI platform.

What you’ll do @Omnisend:

• Actively participate in scaling business domain;
• Hire, retain and grow top engineering talent;
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality;
• Contribute to coding tasks;
• Dive deep into technical challenges and provide solutions;
• Ensure product development has a healthy balance between speed, quality, security, reliability etc.;
• Take accountability in terms of planning and estimation of team capacity;
• Challenge the team and ensure that estimates and plans are viable;
• Ensure the validity of methods - selection of work type (experiment, increment, platform) and appropriate prerequisites (speed, quality, security, reliability, etc.).

We expect that you’ll bring:

• 2+ years of experience in a team leadership role;
• 5+ years of technical background track record;
• Active code contribution and technical leadership;
• Proficiency in data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data modeling;
• Capable of making decisions to achieve the best, but not ideal solution;
• Planning and dependency management skills;
• Experience in engineering practices introduction and adoption;
• Capable to inspire and lead the team;
• Outcome and value-oriented;
• Open communicator;
• Knowledge of engineering practices.
