Engineering Manager - Enterprise Technology
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of developers and administrators to support the existing production functionality, enhancement requests and development.
- Ensures compliance with audit and change management policies and procedures to ensure integrity of the data and system.
- Assist with the creation of the overall plan of brand consolidation onto a single platform, to include migration of functionality and decommissioning of existing systems.
- Enable programs for continuous education of features and functionality the business users can adopt and utilize independently of IT.
- Ensures quality of the solutions are robust, scalable and align with the Inspire model to meet the needs of the business.
- Lead agile scrum approach to implementing new functionality and enhancements.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area required
- PMP Certified or some level of Certification/Training in Project Management principles preferred
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
- 5+ years working with Microsoft (SharePoint) and other enterprise level tools and technologies
- 3+ years in a management role managing a team of technical IT resources in a development and support perspective
- 3+ years developing custom applications to support enterprise areas (HR, Legal, Supply Chain, Development/Construction)
- 2+ years working with technologies that interact with ERP
- Certified SCRUM master
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
- Ability to facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and other respective meetings as the certified scrum master
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills
- Well organized, excellent attention to detail
- Ability to coach the team and influence business partners
- Self-motivated continuous learner
- Strong understanding of JIRA to manage workload and team assignments
- Strong knowledge of best practice SaaS implementation and support methodology
- Experience working with decentralized teams, vendors and off-shore development teams
- Ability to maintain composure in highly stressful situations
