The Position:
As an Engineering Manager of our Growth team, you will lead a team of full stack software engineers to build products targeted at impacting our user funnels. This includes projects such as building experimentation frameworks, reducing friction across the app such as signups and subscriptions, identifying viral product usage, etc. You will be a leader, mentor, and hands-on engineer when needed. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Marketers, QA Analysts, and other engineering leaders. This is for a brand new team that will be focused on growth, and will report to an Engineering Director.
What You’ll Do:
Encourage engineers to contribute at the highest level and serve our customers.
Ship early and often. New app versions are released every week.
Work with leadership peers to refine and improve our innovative engineering culture.
Promote responsible engineering practices across the whole engineering organization.
Help engineers gain technical breadth and depth, improve judgment, and develop into tomorrow’s leaders.
Contribute to the design and implementation of critical features used by millions of users.
Who You Are:
People management background.
Several years of software development experience, including as a technical lead.
Comfortable with ambiguity.
Comfort working and leading in a Lean and Agile environment.
Hands-on experience developing native applications on iOS and/or Android and interest in learning a variety of technology stacks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Customer empathy.
History of successful product delivery.

The target salary range for this position is between $175,000 and $250,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all teammate pay and compensation programs annually, at a minimum, to ensure competitive and fair pay.
DICK’S Sporting Goods has company-wide practices to monitor and protect the company from significant compliance and monetary implications as it pertains to employer state tax liabilities. Due to said guidelines put in place, we are unable to hire in AK, DE, HI, IA, LA, MS, MT, OK, and SC.
Compensation Range: $175K - $250K
