Engineering Manager I/Engineering Manager II - Mission SEIT

This position reports to the Engineering Manager of the Systems Engineering group in Mission Systems.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage the Systems Innovation and Advancement (SIA) Section which provides systems engineering capabilities including system traceability, V&V, Environments, Interfaces and Integration across Ball programs.
- Provide leadership and functional direction for the Mission Readiness and Commissioning Section by exhibiting behaviors aligned with the tenants of Ball's Inspire, Connect and Achieve (ICA) leadership model. The behaviors would include a unifying vision, understanding the diverse needs of others to meet business challenges and acting with humility and a collaborative spirit.
- Support cross-enterprise communication and collaboration to establish common tools and capabilities for programs and other technical developments.
- Development and implement the strategy for the SIA Section.
- Lead and manage the SIA Section and develop a robust employee development capability which aligns with the Strategic Business Units' needs.
- Provide functional management for the SIA Section.
- Grow systems engineering capabilities and capacity to achieve the goals of the business.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units, and the Company. Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You'll Need:
- Engineering Manager I - BS/BA in related field plus 10 years or more related experience.
- Engineering Manager II - BS/BA in related field plus 12 years or more related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is preferred.
- Experience in requirements decomposition, technical baseline management, verification planning, requirements sell-off.
- Experience in space-based systems engineering or ground-based systems engineering.
- Experience in technology management and strategic direction preferred.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering preferred.
- Ability to be self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Possess solid critical thinking skills.
- A drive for results and executional excellence.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
Working Conditions:

- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Relocation for this position is available.
Compensation & Benefits:
- HIRING SALARY RANGE FOR ENGINEERING MANAGER I: $144,000 - $199,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
- HIRING SALARY RANGE FOR ENGINEERING MANAGER II: $162,000 - $223,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
