Engineering Manager - Infrastructure

We're looking for leaders across our engineering org who are excited about the challenges that come with rapid growth, and passionate about connecting people together through a positive and inclusive culture. As an Engineering Manager, you'll work closely with your team, designers, PMs, and other engineering leaders to build and ship products and features that support our vision of helping teams and users collaborate.
We're currently hiring engineering leaders in the following areas:
FigFile Platform
The Figfile Platform team is responsible for the backend services storing and synchronizing Figma and Figjam design files. We are perhaps best known for operating the Multiplayer service, which powers the low-latency collaboration in Figma's editors.
We have many large, challenging projects ahead, and are looking for leaders with strong distributed systems experience, who have operated mission critical "online" systems at substantial scale.
Database Query Execution
The Database Query Execution team is responsible for all of the Database interfaces and experiences that Figma engineers use on a daily basis. The goal of the Database Query Execution team is to make it incredibly easy to build scalable, reliable applications that depend on Figma's Database. This team is also responsible for exposing the database architecture as a platform, giving developers insights into how they are using the databases and ways that can improve that interaction. How easy it is to use these interfaces is directly related to how productive Figma engineers feel.
Scaling our Database architecture is both a complex and exciting task that is essential for Figma success. We are looking for a leader who is excited by challenging distributed system problems, data abstractions and wants to focus on internal developer experience.
Developer Experience
The Developer Experience team is responsible for the core build, test, and workflow systems used across Figma. Our mission is to make every engineer at the company happier and more productive! We're improving our Bazel-based build system used by a variety of services, iterating on our cloud-based development environment, making our CI system faster & more reliable, and creating internal tools to make engineering workflows more efficient.
Our team is growing in order to ensure that engineering-wide productivity across Figma stays high as we scale. We're looking for thoughtful leaders passionate about improving dev velocity and with experience leading teams focused on internal tools & systems.
What you'll do at Figma:

• Manage, support and grow a diverse team of engineers who design and build scalable products and features across Figma's core design tool and FigJam.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for teams and projects.
• Work closely with Product, Research, Design, Data and other engineering teams to define and build a best-in-class collaboration experiences.
• Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization.
• Grow your career in an engaged and creative engineering community.
