Engineering Manager, Mobile
Job Description
- Grow our product. Lead the team building new features and improving performance for our mobile applications while tracking mobile operating system updates to maintain compatibility and optimize new OS feature implementation.
- Help us build CallRail. As an engineering manager, you'll help focus and motivate your teams to quickly deliver high-impact features and improvements to our platform. You’ll also help hire and onboard new engineers as we need to grow.
- Be a mobile expert. Understand the mobile landscape and bring mobile best practices to our company.Â
- Be an effective manager. You'll help mentor and guide the engineers on your team to produce great work while developing as developers, teammates, and stewards of the product
- Communicate well. You'll give great feedback and be clear about expectations. You'll be able to translate organizational strategy into useful and actionable direction for your teams. You'll keep engineering leadership apprised of important developments on your teams
- Be a good teammate. You'll be helpful, open-minded, and collaborative. You'll help support your teammates and ensure they feel, and are, included and valued
- Project management: You will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of mobile projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and do not negatively impact quality and the user experience. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Management and UX to meet these objectives.
- Mobile: Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin/Java
- Backend: Ruby, Rails, Sidekiq, Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ
- Frontend: Angular, Javascript/Typescript
- Other: Twilio, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, firebase
- Experience with mobile products on native platforms, ideally both iOS and android
- Experience leading mobile development teams
- Managing projects in an agile environment
- Working with product management and UX
- Fostering and leading diverse, healthy teams
- Building software where security and regulatory compliance are critical
- Experience setting standards for quality and delivery of mobile applications as well as standards around version adoption and sunsetting, release management and good communication practices with our internal and external stakeholders
- Experience having shipped at least one application on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store that has received positive consumer feedback & adoption
