The Modeling team is responsible for building the first-class modeling experience that powers our customers’ commissions processes.

You will be leading a fast-paced team that ships incrementally and iteratively using data to drive decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit inspire manage and grow a team of software engineers

• Mentor the professional development of each engineer through personal and performance management and coaching

• Design build and maintain user-facing components APIs services and systems to solve problems and delight users from end-to-end

• Work closely with product owners to set priorities objectives and clarify direction for the engineering team

• Build and evangelize best practices high engineering and security standards and continuously improve our codebases and team processes

Requirements:

• 5+ years software development experience as an individual contributor

• 3+ years of Engineering Manager people management and hands-on engineering management

• Strong product sense to bridge the gap between product design and engineering

• Experience building and shipping market-leading products that delight customers

• Experience building and delivering a product from zero to one

• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills

• Previous experience in a startup environment

• Strong inclination towards data-driven decision making and measuring impact

• High sense of ownership and accountability with a proven track record of driving top-notch execution

• Collaborative humble learner with a strong growth mindset

Bonus points:

• Experience with Python

• Experience in the SaaS market

• Financial modeling experience

CaptivateIQ takes a market-based approach to pay and the base salary range for this job posting shows the minimum and maximum target starting base salary across all US locations. The successful candidate’s starting base salary will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related skills relevant experience education work location market conditions and other factors. This range may be modified in the future. Certain positions may be eligible for incentive compensation equity and other benefits.
